Link popularity analysis is one of the best ways
to quantifiably and independently measure a website's online awareness
and overall visibility. Simply put, link popularity refers to
the total number of links or "votes" that a search engine
has found for a website.
Below is a graph of a recent (May 29, 2002) link
popularity test conducted by an independent Internet market research
firm.

The graph requires a brief explanation:
PDA cortex (www.PDAcortex.com)
was originally know as RNpalm (www.RNpalm.com).
In January of 2002 we changed our name to PDA cortex. It takes
time for a new URL to propagate through all of the websites
that link to us. Over the last 5 months 441 websites have updated
their links to reflect the new URL and 961 still need to do
so. The total number of sites that link to our domains is therefore
441 + 961 = 1402
We would like to take this opportunity to say
thanks to all of the Webmasters who have linked to our site,
and we would all so like to ask you to please (if you have not
already done so) update your links to us to reflect our current
name and URL.
Kind Regards:
The PDA cortex team.
